Licensed Chemists in the Philippines
Licensed Chemists are typically tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Prepare test solutions, reagents, and compounds
- Analyze both organic and inorganic compounds

- Prepare papers and reports, including specifications for products and processes
- Induce changes in the composition of various substances
- Analyze various test information

Chemistry Licensure Exam
To be a licensed chemist in the Philippines, an individual must:
- 1. Be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in the Philippines; and
- 2. Pass the Chemistry Licensure Examination, which is administered by the Board of Chemistry under the supervision of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The Chemistry Licensure Exam is conducted once a year, either in September or October of every year.
