A detailed guide for each method is explained below so continue reading to find out the best way for you to get your SSS PRN.
The good news is that there are several ways to get the PRN if you don’t know it or don’t have it with you.
The bad news, though, is that the PRN changes every month or every quarter that you’re paying, so you’ll have to get a new PRN every time you’ll make a monthly SSS contribution or loan payment.
Here are six official ways to get your SSS PRN:
1. Get SSS PRN via SMS text
You can get your SSS Payment Reference Number via text, but if it’s your first time using the Text SSS service, you’ll need to register first.
During registration, you will be given a PIN or Personal Identification Number — a unique and personal number which you’ll use every time you will transact with SSS via text.
To register for the Text SSS service, input the following and send to 2600:
SSS REG <SSS Number> <Birthday in MM/DD/YYYY format>
Take note that your birthday should use the complete year, not just the last two digits of your birthday year.
Example: SSS REG 0312345678 12/25/1988
Send the text message to 2600.
Take note that there is a service fee charged for using Text SSS. The fee is P2.50 for Smart and Globe subscribers and P2.00 for Sun Cellular subscribers.
Once registered, you will receive your unique PIN or Personal Identification Number. This is the personal code that you will use for your text-based inquiries with SSS. Needless to say, do not share this PIN with anyone and make sure you keep this confidential.
Now that you have your PIN, you may now request your SSS PRN via text.
To generate your SSS PRN which you’ll use for your SSS contribution or loan payment, simply type this text message:
SSS PRN <SSS Number> <SSS PIN> <Birthday in MM/DD/YY format>
and send to 2600.
Take note that this time, for your birthday, you should only type the last two digits of your birthday year.
Example: SSS PRN 0312345678 0911 12/25/88
Send the SMS message to 2600.
Again, if you’re asking: “Where to get the SSS PIN?”
Answer: You need to register first for the Text SSS service so just follow the instructions above to get your own unique SSS PIN.
What if I forgot my SSS PIN? No worries, simply text the following to 2600 to retrieve your lost SSS PIN:
SSS RESET <SSS Number> <Birthday in MM/DD/YY format>
Example: SSS RESET 0312345678 12/25/88
Send the SMS message to 2600.
2. Get SSS PRN by calling SSS Hotline
Another way to get your Personal Reference Number (PRN) is by calling SSS at the following Telephone Numbers:
– (02) 8920-6446 to 55
– (02) 8917-7777
– Local toll-free Hotline: 1-800-10-2255-777
Good news! You may call these numbers anytime as long as it’s a weekday, Monday to Friday.
Just be ready with your verification details such as your Name, SSS Number, Date of Birth, etc. Once your identity is confirmed, your PRN will be given to you.
3. Get SSS PRN by visiting SSS branch
Of course, SSS members can get their PRN by going to an SSS branch.
Simply approach an SSS personnel to assist you regarding your request. You may also proceed directly to the SSS E-Center of an SSS branch to secure your PRN.
Just make sure you bring your UMID or SSS ID or any other valid government ID with you as proof of identification.
4. Get SSS PRN via email
If you are abroad or in the Philippines but unable to visit an SSS office especially during these times of COVID-19 pandemic, simply send an email to PRNHelpline@sss.gov.ph to ask for your PRN.
Unfortunately, though, it does take time for them to reply so you might have to wait a few days to get your PRN.

5. Get SSS PRN via MySSS and SSS mobile app
Using your My.SSS account at the SSS members website or the SSS mobile app, you can also generate the PRN for the applicable payment you’ll be making.
Simply login using your My.SSS user ID and password, either in the SSS website or iOS or Android mobile app, then click the “Generate PRN” link or icon under “Payment Reference Number” in your SSS account.
You can then get your PRN and also view and download your Statement of Account (SOA), which includes the required amount of payment and applicable payment period.
6. Get SSS PRN from SSS Payment Partners
When you’re ready to pay, you can also just ask the SSS payment collecting partners (such as SM, Bayad Center, and any other authorized payment collection agency that accept PRN) to generate a PRN for you. Just present a valid SSS ID or any government ID.
Payment Methods to Pay SSS Loans or Contributions
Whether you’re an employer or a voluntary member, you can choose to pay the SSS contribution or loan payment at any of SSS Tellering branches in all SSS offices nationwide.
For individual members, you may also deposit your SSS payment at any of the following partner banks of SSS:
- Asia United Bank (AUB)
- Bank of Commerce (BOC)
- Bank One Savings Bank
- First Isabela Cooperative Bank (FICO Bank)
- Partner Rural Bank Inc.
- Philippine Business Bank (PBB)
- PNB Savings Bank
- Rural Bank of Lanuza
- Union Bank of the Philippines (UBP)
- United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB)
- Wealth Bank
Alternatively, SSS premiums and loan payments can also be done through over-the-counter payments at:

- Globe GCash
- Paymaya
- Security Bank (internet banking)
- SM Malls (Business Center)
Lastly, you can also pay for your SSS loans or contributions using these internet-based or online banking platforms:
