Malacanang last week released the official list of Regular Holidays, Special (non-working days) and Special Holidays for next year 2014. Those looking for long weekends and planning to go on vacations may refer to the list below.
It’s going to be a long Christmas break for everyone, and it’s possible several Filipinos will take advantage of leaves to rest during this period for a total of twelve (12) days!
In December 2014, official holidays are December 24 (Wednesday), 25 (Thursday), 26 (Friday), 30 (Tuesday) and 31 (Wednesday).
December 27 and 28 are weekends. January 1, 2014 (Thursday) is New Year’s holiday and January 2 (Friday) may also be declared a holiday, which means December 29 (Monday) may be the only working day of the week!
A lot would surely take advantage of the long breaks and may decide to go on a full 12-day rest from December 24, 2014 until January 4, 2015!
The rest of the official Philippine holidays in 2014 are as follows, based on Proclamation No. 655 signed by President Benigno S. Aquino.
