If you successfully passed the CSE-PPT, congratulations! If you’re wondering what you’re supposed to do next, check out our useful guide so you can:

How to check your CSE-PPT exam score

Those who took the Civil Service Exam, regardless if they passed or failed, may verify their individual test result using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) which is available at the Civil Service Commission website (www.csc.gov.ph).

Unfortunately, though, examinees may view their individual test results only after fifteen (15) days from the release of the official results.

Take note that the report of ratings and test results will NOT be mailed to individual examinees. The examinee has to encode the required data in the OCSERGS in order to produce a copy of the ratings and test results which may be printed for reference.

The CSC Regional Offices are tasked to handle the release of CSE-PPT results to examinees by region. In case the examinee encounters a problem in generating the test results or has a question or clarification regarding the exam, the examinee should verify directly with his or her respective CSC Regional Office.

How to get a FREE “Certification of Eligibility”

Did you know that successful Civil Service Exam passers can claim a “Certification of Eligibility” printed on CSC’s official letterhead free of charge? You may claim this through the CSC Regional/Field Office near you.

The steps to follow to apply for a Civil Service “Certification of Eligibility” are as follows.

1. Visit a Civil Service office or CSC Field Office near you. Take note that you must personally claim the Certification of Eligibility. Proxies or representatives are NOT allowed to claim on your behalf.

2. Make sure you bring the following when claiming your Certification of Eligibility:

• Application receipt and/or CSC Official Receipt, if available;
• At least one (1) of the following valid and accepted I.D. cards which must not be expired:

Driver’s License
Passport
PRC License
SSS ID
GSIS ID (UMID)
Voter’s ID
BIR ID (ATM type / TIN card type with picture)
PhilHealth ID (must contain the holder’s name, clear picture, signature and PhilHealth number)
Company or Office ID
School ID (validated for the current school year/semester/trimester)
Police Clearance/Police Clearance Certificate
Postal ID
Barangay ID
NBI Clearance

Any other ID card not included in the above list shall NOT be accepted.

The Civil Service Commission also offers a “Certification of Eligibility” that is printed on Security Paper. This version is more preferred by government agencies as a supporting document for employment application or promotion or other human resource transfers.

However, Certifications printed on Security Paper are NOT free. Each copy is worth P100.00. You may apply for this Certification at your respective Civil Service office. Processing time is just 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Automatic Passers in the Civil Service Exam

Are you one of the applicants below? If you are, then congratulations since you’re already an automatic passer of the Civil Service Exam. By virtue of your credentials, you’re already Civil Service-eligible and are no longer required to take the CSE.

1. Passers of the Bar Exam given by the Supreme Court of the Philippines and of other board or licensure exams administered by the PRC. Under Republic Act (RA) 1080, board and bar exam passers are automatically considered as civil service eligibles; or

2. Passers of Career Service Examination for Foreign Service Officer as the resulting Career Foreign Service Officer Eligibility is comparable to the Career Service Professional Eligibility; or

3. Grantees of the following eligibilities under special laws and Civil Service Commission issuances, which are comparable to the Career Service Professional Eligibility:

• Honor Graduate Eligibility under P.D. 907
• Scientific and Technological Specialist Eligibility under P.D. 997
• Sanggunian Member Eligibility (2nd Level) under RA No. 10156
• Foreign School Honor Graduate Eligibility under CSC Resolution No. 1302714
• Veteran Preference Rating Eligibility (Professional) under EO No. 132, s. 1948 and EO No. 790, s. 1982

4. Grantees of the following eligibilities under special laws and Civil Service Commission issuances, which are comparable to the Career Service Sub-Professional Eligibility:

• Barangay Official Eligibility under RA No. 7160
• Barangay Health Worker Eligibility under RA No. 7883
• Sanggunian Member Eligibility (1st Level) under RA No. 10156
• Veteran Preference Rating Eligibility (SubProfessional) under EO No. 132, s. 1948 and EO No. 790, s. 1982

Again, if you already have one of the credentials above, no need for you to take the Civil Service Exam. You’re already an automatic passer, so congrats!

If you did not pass the CSE-PPT

If you unfortunately did not pass the last CSE-PPT, it’s OK! Just consider this a minor setback for now. Keep your head up and try again in the succeeding exam. You’ll make it next time, don’t worry!

Here are the requirements and eligibility criteria if you’re considering to take the next round of Civil Service Exam. Did you know that you don’t have to be a college graduate to take the CSE-PPT? The minimum qualifications are as follows:

1. Filipino citizen;

2. At least 18 years old on the date of filing of application;

3. Of good moral character;

4. Has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs;

5. Has not been dishonorably discharged from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and

6. Has not taken the same level of Career Service Examination, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination (CSC COMEX), within three months before the date of examination. If you are taking the August 4, 2019 exam, you must NOT have taken the PPT or CSC COMEX exam from May 4, 2019 until August 3, 2019.

Civil Service Exam Requirements

If you’re planning to take the next Career Service Exam (CSE), just prepare and submit the following requirements.

1. Fully accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100, Revised September 2016). (Note: The spaces for “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumbmark” on the Application Form should be left blank. These shall be accomplished in the presence of the CSC processor.)

2. Four (4) pieces of identical I.D. pictures with specifications, as follows:

• a. Passport size (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 inches x 1.4 inches)
• b. Colored, with white background
• c. Taken within three (3) months prior to filing of application
• d. Printed on good quality photo paper
• e. In standard close-up shot (from shoulder level up with the head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag positioned at approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm below the chin)
• f. In bare face (with no eyeglasses, colored contact lens, or any accessories that may cover the facial features; facial features not computer enhanced)
• g. Showing left and right ears
• h. Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
• i. With neutral facial expression, and both eyes open
• j. With HANDWRITTEN (not computer-generated) name tag legibly showing SIGNATURE OVER PRINTED FULL NAME in the format: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, and Extension Name, if any

3. Original and photocopy of any of the following I.D. cards, which is preferably valid (not expired on date of filing of application):

• a. Driver’s License/Temporary Driver’s License (LTO O.R. must be presented together with old Driver’s License; O.R. alone is not allowed)/Student Driver’s Permit (card type with photo)
• b. Passport
• c. PRC License
• d. SSS ID
• e. GSIS ID (UMID)
• f. Voter’s ID / Voter’s Certification
• g. BIR / Taxpayer’s ID (ATM type / TIN card type with picture)
• h. PhilHealth ID (must have the bearer’s name, clear picture, signature and PhilHealth number)
• i. Company/Office ID
• j. School ID
• k. Police Clearance/Police Clearance Certificate (with picture)
• l. Postal ID
• m. Barangay ID
• n. NBI Clearance
• o. Seaman’s Book
• p. HDMF Transaction ID
• q. PWD ID
• r. Solo Parent ID
• s. Senior Citizen’s ID
• t. Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-CARD);
• u. CSC Eligibility Card

Additional notes regarding ID requirements: Xerox or photocopy of the ID card or cellphone photo of the ID shall not be accepted. All other ID cards not included in the above list are also not accepted.

An expired ID card may be presented/submitted during filing of examination application, provided that, the expiry date of the ID card is within the preceding months of the year reckoning the date of filing of application (or from January 1, 2019 to the date before application filing).

4. Examination fee of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00)

Where to submit your Civil Service Exam requirements?

You may personally file your application at the CSC Regional Office (CSC RO), or at any of the CSC RO’s Field Offices, where you plan to take the examination. Only applications with a complete set of application documentary requirements are accepted.

Also, the CSC strictly requires applicants to observe proper attire when filing the application. During application, do NOT wear Sleeveless Shirt or Blouse, Shorts or Short Pants, or Slippers.
