Licensed Chemists in the Philippines

Licensed Chemists are typically tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare test solutions, reagents, and compounds

  • Prepare papers and reports, including specifications for products and processes
  • Induce changes in the composition of various substances
  • Analyze various test information

Chemistry Licensure Exam

To be a licensed chemist in the Philippines, an individual must:

  • 1. Be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in the Philippines; and
  • 2. Pass the Chemistry Licensure Examination, which is administered by the Board of Chemistry under the supervision of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The Chemistry Licensure Exam is conducted once a year, either in September or October of every year.
